Moon Sweepers Guide

Co-op and Multiplayer

Updated · Basics

Quick answer

Up to 16 players can play online co-op on one save. Since patch 1.0.3 (Oct 24) the whole crew uses the host's upgrade tree — anyone's purchase upgrades everyone. The host can kick and ban players (ESC → Your Crew). Everyone must be on the same game version. No crossplay (Windows/Steam only) and no dedicated servers listed.

What’s shared and what isn’t

In co-op
The world (cleaned ground, buildings, belts) Shared — it’s the host’s save. 1.0.4 fixed dust reappearing for some players
Upgrade Matrix Shared since 1.0.3 — the host’s tree; anyone’s purchase counts for everyone. Old saves keep the highest level anyone had bought
Money Players report one shared wallet ⚠️
Belts, splitters, mergers Anyone can build on anyone’s belts (1.0.3 / 1.0.4)
Vehicles Kept in garages; any garage can call any of them (1.0.3)
The tool in your hand, suit inventory Your own ⚠️

Host controls

Press ESC → Your Crew to see everyone in the game. The host can kick or ban; banned players can’t rejoin that save, and the host can unban them from the same screen.

FAQ

How many players can play Moon Sweepers together?

Up to 16 in one online lobby. You can also play solo.

How do I join my friend in Moon Sweepers?

The developers haven't published steps; players join through Steam invites to the host's game. Make sure you're both on the same version — after an update, restart Steam so it downloads.

Is money shared in co-op?

Players report a shared wallet, and since 1.0.3 upgrades are definitely shared: the crew uses the host's Upgrade Matrix. Tools in your hands and your suit inventory are your own.

Can my friends play the world when I'm offline?

Not confirmed. The world is the host's save, and there's no dedicated server option on the store page.
